Re: super short fuse

oh lord yes, I get that way myself. Been a few times I've been so upset I couldn't sleep for a couple of days. I do a lot of computer repair work, and get so mad I end up throwing mice (always my own, not the person's I'm workin on)
My wife can get me that way sometimes, talking about things that are stressful for me (even if they dont make sense to her) and I get all wigged out and so angry I just wanna destroy something. I am with ya, know how the rage can feel, and either it's part of being bipolar, or we're just alike =)

Hang in there, try not to let the rage take over. {Content deleted}

I loose it all the time...

Every since I was a child... When I was like 8-9 years old, if I was upset, I would run to my room and throw my bed all over the place... I would grab the mattress and toss it... I would tip over the box spring... I would yell and scream...

Of course, my parents though this was perfect behaviour, hence why my diagnosis is 22 years late (I am 30 now)

I do. Although I think for me it's more "frustrated" than angry. Not too long ago I was trying to fix one of our closet doors, after trying unsuccessfully for about 10 minutes I gave up and kicked the darn thing(many times!) instead. I was in tears over the stupid thing. For the most part if I get that worked up about something I beat up on a pillow instead - it's a lot easier on my hands!

PS if you ever feel you should self-injure, burning is the best way, cutting can be lethal if you're really angry.
i dont like pain. when i get mad, i dont wnat ot hurt myself, i want to break stuff. i think a loud smash is from a good hard hit is pretty stisfying....also (disclaimer, it was honestly an accident, and i will never actually do it again on purpose ) i was on a highway once, in rush hour traffic, trying to get in another lane, but the guy infront of me kept slowing down speeding up talking on his cell, so when i finally got to the point of switching he slammed on his breaks andswerved and i hit his bumper with my truck......it felt REALLLLLY good. esp cause my truck is a beast and cat get wrecked very easily.....
