I would not even want to think of the possibilities. BP is an illness that can do so many things to a person. However, depending on the severity of it I imagine that one could go on about life.
I recall my grandmother who was 85 when she died. She has been dead for about 10 years now. She (grandmother) would tell stories about people in our family who was in her words “a little off”. I recall her saying that so in so would stay in a room for months at a time. Or, so in so would end up in jail for doing something stupid like extreme behavior, not dressing (oh yes they call him the streak

), and assorted other items. She would say that so in so had NERVE problems and such.
I guess that back then they were not educated in mental illness. The treatment of choice was to put them in a back bedroom and just about forget that they exist. Oh, how painful!
