I have problems with anxiety and depression to the point that some days I am happy and others that I am completely depressed. How do I know if I am bi-polar or just crazy??

Hockey mom,
One thing you aren't is crazy. If you were, you wouldn't wonder if you're crazy. It took me many years and a lot of medication to finally accept that I was bipolar. At first it took a Dr's diagnosis. You have to find a psychiatrist that you can work with to pinpoint your symptoms and come up with an answer. It can take awhile to figure out what works for you. But for me, it was worth it. I have had my pdoc for 6 yrs now. Him and the first were a godsend to me. I have also found that reading the posts here have made me feel like I am not alone and the things I feel and experience, someone else does too. I have found this extremely helpful. I tahnk everyone here that shares their life on the board. Hope you get everything worked out. People do care.

One is never just crazy. Bipolar maybe, but crazy is kids doing drugs, playing with loaded guns, using nukes in war time, or other stuff not in anyone's interest. Just my 2 cent's worth.
