Anectodal Anti-Depressant for those Communicatively Challenged...

A judge was interviewing a lady regarding her pending divorce,
and he asked her, "What are the grounds for your divorce?"

She replied, "About four acres and a nice little home in the
middle of the property with a stream running by."

"No," he said, "I mean what is the foundation of this case?"

"Why, it is made of concrete, of course," she responded.

"I mean," he continued, "what are your relations like?"

"I have an aunt and uncle living here in town, as well as my
husband's parents."

He said, "Do you have a real grudge?"

"No," she replied, "we have a two-car carport and have never
really needed one."

"Please," he tried again, "is there any infidelity in your
marriage?"

"Yes, both my son and daughter have stereo sets. We don't
necessarily like the music, but the answer to your question
is 'yes'."

"Ma'am, does your husband ever beat you up?"

"Yes," she responded, "about twice a week he gets up earlier
than I do."

Finally, frustrated and at the end of his rope, the judge
asked, "Lady, why do you want a divorce?"

"Oh, I don't want a divorce," she replied. "I've never wanted
a divorce. It's my husband that does. He says he can't
communicate with me."

It was my way of making the same admission. Drives folks crazy, at times.

Hey, you sure know how to drive me and the Hman crazy but then you always knew when to hedge your bets or your place in this vast internet. Once a yahoo always a yahoo. If I wasn't 50 I'd be 42 and Talk your leg off.
Or something like that!
Hope you check in soon and spread more hoopla,
Ruth - slightly obstuse but not tipped over too far either direction...

LOL

I guess that's funny. It got me to stop lurking and post. Did you just go from funny to fantasy, or is that to be expected with anti-depressants?

Re: Anectodal Anti-Depressant for those Communicatively Challenged...

All of the above.

Some parts fantasy. Playing is fun, or at least that's what we were told when we were young (and read tiny books like Polar Express).

For instance:

yahoo = a member of a race of brutes (Gulliver's Travels), repleat with the vices of man or a boorish, crass, or stupid person.

Hoosier = (from anything large of its kind) a native or resident of Indiana.

-ville = suffix occurring in names of towns or a place or category of a specified nature.

So: I spliced the three together into yahoosierville.

Sounds like the kind of place the next CSI - Vice City/NFL Edition might be about.

Too bad their football team took a nose dive in the playoffs. I wonder what the investigators might uncover!

Re: Anectodal Anti-Depressant for those Communicatively Challenged...

Thanks K !!!!!

I've often thought my mania is the only thing keeping me sane.

But try to convince the Pdocs of that one. Come to think of it, my Pdoc started his practice in....... you guessed it...... yahoosierville !!!!
