Ok another stupid question. Does anyone get these? I can't really call them dizzy spells. More like dizzy moments. I will start getting dizzy for like 2 seconds and it goes away. But it will happen in spells like every couple minutes when It does happen. Its not all day or anything. Its so frigging weird. I start like - omg, i am getting... and then I am not dizzy for a minute or two and then it happens again. Anyone familiar with this or why? Or am I just imagining some more crap? Thanks, Lori
I feel like I've been away forever. First I want to tell you a doc is a good idea here. I am not a doc...
That said...How much water do you drink? I know that's a strange question for dizzy spells but, most people don't drink enough water and what you're discribing sounds like it could be mild dehydration. Even in the winter average people need 2 liters a day. (This is in the winter too.) If you are on a med like lithium (and some others) that are dehydrating you need a little more...Just a thought.
When you go see that doc get your blood pressure checked. Some people can get low blood pressure from certain meds and this is one of the symptoms for that too. If you don't have insurance or can't afford a doc go to a phamancy most of them have free blood pressure checks. Worth looking into...I wouldn't ignore it.
Hey thanks Jamie! I actually just had my bp checked yesterday at gp office and was ok. I always have the standing up ready to pass out dizzy too, but my bp has always been perfect. I will mention to pdoc next week when I go. Thanks for the response! Lori
I get these dizzy spells too. I can be sitting perfectly still when it happens. Sometimes it happens when I am driving and I kinda swerve because I think the car next to me is gonna hit me. Very dangerous!
It is scary. My therapist told me today to try and notate when these spells happen and for how long etc. I guess to see if a pattern. Like after i am tired or whatever. I do have them at work or at home or in a store or anywhere I guess. Just another quirk to enjoy, right?? Lori
