About Neurontin..... - Bipolar Disorder Message Board

I was put on Neurontin by my Psych. for BiPolar disorder. I take it and I feel really bad....like I have muscle aches, back pain etc. I called the pharmacy and they said that this drug is used for those sorts of issues...pain and nerve line pain. I am wondering if anyone else in on Neurontin and is so, how are you feeling?....Kahlia

The wife was on this med too. I think it does have some sort of pain/nerve deadening effect.

I was also on this med too but not for bp or pain they gave it to me for my seizure disorder .IT did nothing for my pain or bp i was on it for 5 years.

i was on neurontin[gabapentin] for a couple of years,then read how pfizer had pled guilty for fraudulently promoting neurontin for almost everything when in fact it was only effective as a adjunct med to treat seizures.they have paid millions in fines and millions more in lawsuits, but they made 3.5 billion dollars so i know the FDA is no longer protecting the people from potentially dangerous drugs,the drug companies donate millions of dollars to the congress for re-election,the congress regulates the FDA and we are the lab rats.you have to know your meds and take a active part in your treatment.
