help with a minor

any1 know how i can get help for a friends 14 year old son without his parents.he has bipolar and has been in alot of trouble with the law but his parents just says boys will be boys but its more than that and would like to see this young boy get the help he needs before its too late.thanks karen

I don't want your post to go unnoticed, but I have no idea how you would even go about this without the son asking for the help himself. I don't know if you have any kind of clinics around there where he could go if he can't talk to his parents. But as far as you taking him somewhere, not sure how that work, legally anyhow. The parents need to take charge. That's what parents do. I'd drop a note about Bipolar and it's effect off to them. Hopefully, they would take notice.

Parents don't always want to face things like that, I should know. If his parents won't do anything, the only other person that can help is himself. Try to talk to him. I guess. I wish I had more for you. Sorry.
