Does anyone else talk out loud to themselves? I do it a lot at work, or when I am out walking my dog, or driving in my car, or shopping. Today at walmart I was talking myself out of buying extra stuff not on my list. I was saying just keep shopping for what you need. Just get going. Or which one should I get (like to myself). Or when I was walking listening to my cd, I was like -nope not this song, nope not this one. Is this what normal people do? It just seems like I don't remember doing it so much before. OR maybe its just because I can't shut up and I have run out of people to listen to me -LOL! Please share. Love, Lori
I don't think what your doing is strange. I remember back in school I had a teacher that talked to himself while walking alone down the hall ways. Your just thinking out load instead of keeping it in your head. Sometimes I do that too. I do get embarassed if someone were to look at me wired, but I get over with it.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one!! I talk to myself constantly, even down to having imaginary arguements if I'm annoyed with someone. I do it when I'm in the shops and at home - even people being around doesn't stop me, I don't even realise I'm doing it half the time!! I do feel a bit daft when I catch myself doing it but I guess it's no big deal, just another 'quirk'. Hope that reassures you that you're not alone!! xx
Wow! what a nice surprise to see so many other people doing that. I mentioned it to a guy I work with and he was just like - you are crazy. I was like yeah, so what?
Yup, talk to myself all the time. That and inanimate objects. I think the computer and vehicle tend to be more cooperative with a bit of encouragement.
Doesn't mean you're crazy. Just creative, and most BP's have a good dose of that. One of the rare benefits. Now I just have to figure out how to access that creativity minus the mania. Not sure if it is possible. Boy do I miss the mania . . .
