Hello ! TO ALL,

What would you say to someone who talks of killing themselves ?

This person is young, very negative, and says he is abused by his parents.
He has threatened to kill them, and his Doctor !

ALso, he is doing drugs.

I don't have a clue ! And, I guess if I am in doubt, I shouldn't even
respond to this guy....., I can assure you I will NOT !

What do you guys think ? Please let me know, okay ?

In his greatest hour of need....you are stating you will not respond to him?! Is this not his cry for help, twisted though it may seem to you? I would suggest he is really hurting inside, and is lashing out at those he blames most (we don't know if they deserve it or not).
Have some compassion...we all suffer in different ways

Is there some sort of government body you can go to? I don't know where you are - here in the UK we have Social Services for kids in trouble - is there something like that you can go to? Failing that an ambulance so that he can get some emergency treatment? If he is being abused then he needs help fast - if he's not then he's delusional and he still needs help fast, particularly if he's threatening to kill people. If all else fails then I guess the Police - at least they can get him seen by a doctor and keep him safe if nothing else?

I agree with what everyone has said thus far. The kid obviously needs help and he/she trusts you which is hard for a teen to do to begin with. If you turn your back on him/her when they are reaching out to you for help then where will they go? Who can they turn too? I am not trying to put it al on you or anything. It's just that he/she obviously doesn't want to hurt anymore or be hurt by the parental units if that is the case. And I am sure that the drugs don't help either. I have heard they can cause paranoia in individuals though I do not know about them enough to say whether it is true or not. Try to help him in whatever way you can. You may be the only lifeline this person has and to yank it away might be the factor that tips them over the edge. Emerald
