depakote?
i was wondering if someone can tell me what exactly this type of drug does? i thought i read someone's post that said they were "borderline bipolar" and a doctor gave them this. would that mean that its used for those who dont have as bad of symptoms?
thanks for any info in advance!

i take depakote and for me its a mood stabalizer and yes i am bipolar

Depakote is a seizure medication and is also used for other stablizing enhancers. I am bipolar but have had seizures. intially was put on depakote for the seizures but was told that it had benifits on mood stablization.

thank u both for the info! it seems like theres quite a few different meds and i didnt know if they all do the same thing or if they were for different symptoms.

I take that **** if and only if I feel a mania going on. It makes me fat and causes spinobifida however you spell that. . . It is a blast to drink with and you puke in the morning!
