my daughter, 40, for many years has had weird symptoms to the point that her family members think she needs help. For instance, I never know day to day what I'll find with her; if she'll be in a good mood (rare) or really angry and depressed. She can start a sentence, start crying, then stop Instantly and finish the sentence. I can't imagine how she does it.
She has a long history of break-ups with boyfriends which always end with broken glass. Or a fire. She, with various boyfriends, has kicked out a glass door, burned a guy's books, and kicked out a window. She just goes crazy if and when she "gets dumped" as she puts it. It is impossible for her to just walk away. It enrages her, depresses her, destroys her.
She spends a lot of time "touching base" with many men from her past, testing her options. Looking to be rescued. She'll hunt down old boyfriends from high school, call guys (old friends) recently divorced, even consider marrying old pals if the "deal is right." Not for love; just for extra income and to combat her chronic loneliness and boredom. She is rarely home; she drives around town, looking at homes, at people, visiting various men friends. One of them moved away, no, two of them moved away recently and one died. She would have them spend a few nights with her just from loneliness then make them leave after 2 days. She thinks they steal from her; they think she steals from them. They all borrow money from each other; one tried to charge her 100% interest but she'd never drop the guy from her life totally, saying "oh, he's just crazy." HE is the one with the problems since he was hit on the head with a hammer twice this year by some thugs. In all of this she has a son, 7, who has never seen the inside of a church or a move house; I did take him to a zoo once and he was enthralled!! These characters have formed his social contacts all his life. I'm going to stop now; I could write a book.
