The studies completed on this drug and fetal malfunction are slim to none so doctors are just saying keep taking it.
Tell me what your doctors have told you, tell me what your friends doctors have told you.
Currently I am taking 10mg of Lexapro in the morning and 1mg of Risperdal at night, in conjunction with 2 tylenol pms.
There is a possibility I may have become pregnant but, I would have to wait another day to call the doctor, I'm going to do this either way...but I am scared to death of stopping my meds..terrified beyond belief.... they have done my self, my relationships, my marriage, my self control, and my motivation so very much and losing that now would devastate me.
I have just started takingthe risperdal. Did you gain alot of weight on it? I am terrified that I will. Recently, I lost over 100 pounds and have no intention of gaining it back. I was on Lamactial (which worked really well) but after six months I have developed the reashes and skin problems.. I am also on Equarto (sp) and I was told it may decrease the effectiveness of my yasmin. I am looking for input
thanks - sorry to devitate. I talked to my dr about it some since we are taking about having a child soon - sounds like it may or may not deal but is one of the better ones.... But, that is just a prelim conversation with my dr.
Hi,
I'm on 2mgs of Risperdal. I have read that most all meds for Bipolar, are NOT reccomended during pregnancy, especially the first tri-mester(first 3 months).
I have read(on WeB MD, recently) and talked with my Psych Doc, and Haldol is safe to take during pregnancy for all Bipolar women.
