Re: Im not bipolar any more
I wish you well being off medication, but in my opinion, you do sound manic.
I would advise you to listen to the people that care about you the most, and when they say you need help, get help. Your loved ones, best friends, can be your greatest barometer.
When I was first diagnosed as a manic-depressant (Bipolar), I refused to believe it. I called the doctor incompetent and refused to take the prescribed lithium. Ya see, it is common when mood swingers are on an upswing, they will think/believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, and that they don't need meds. After eight years on medication for bi-polar, I went off, and paid the piper. It didn't take but six-eight months to conclude that I still desperately needed my mood stabilizer.
It is a wonderful thing to be stable. There may be some unpleasant side effects while taking meds., but it is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Yes, you may still suffer some with moods, anxieties, etc., but taking the medicine would/could lessen the durations and extremes. If one med does not work for, try another. I think lithium and lamictal are the best stabilizer. . I live a life now, instead of a living hell. Today, you may be able to say the same, and I hope forever, but when/if you become sick and tired of being sick and tired, I hope you seek help. Good luck.
