Re: Seroquel help with mania?

Did a dr. give you the soraquel?? He really should have exsplained all of that to you.. Iam not blaming you thought becouse I know they just hand it out and say take that and thats the end... it is so agrivating!!!
my husband takes soraquel to help him sleep at night about 150mg... but a lot of people on the boards take it to control the mania...
good luck....meljo

Re: Seroquel help with mania?

I agree that a doctor should have explained this all to you if he/she prescribed it. If you are are not prescribed, I'd hold off on taking both together. Even though Klonopin and Seroquel work fine together, Seroquel might not be for you.

SGH

Re: Seroquel help with mania?

I take all my Seroquel in the PM before bedtime, but I do have some I can take if I get agitated(1 or 2 /25 mg tabs) during the daytime. I can't take Klonopin or the like b/c of chemical history and BP.

Re: Seroquel help with mania?

Toby, you said that you can't take klonopin because of chemical history and BP. BP meaning BiPolar? Are Bipolar people not suppose to take this drug?

Re: Seroquel help with mania?

pinkeetoz-

I should clarify-- I can't take Klonopin or the like because of my chemical issues DURING the course of my Bipolar illness, specifically alcohol abuse. Docs just won't prescribe, and I agree to it, addictive tranquilizers like Klonopin to me.
