Looking for DR in South Jersey/Philly - Bipolar Disorder Message Board

I am new here, hello all. Both my wife and son are bipolar. I am trying to find a Doctor that specializes in BP in this area. South Jersey/Phila******a, PA. In the state my wife is in I really think she needs to see another DR, at least for another opinion or other options. She is not able to "Just pull yourself out of it" to quote the Dr. Next step is hospitalization, we would all like to avoid that. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

A BIG welcome to this board! I might try the yellow pages. This may sound bad but your chance of finding a good P dr is just about as good that way as asking others. What is best for one mat be the worst for another. It goes for just about anything. However, by asking about a good dr shows that you do care and disire the best for both you and your son.
My wife is BP and it took years to find a good dr. The current one we have had for about a year or so.

Mudhound, thanks. Would have gotten back sooner but spent most of yesterday in the crisis center. Our Dr has been great, but dropped the ball big time recently and I don't know why, that is how we wound up where we did. I did get a few names from a counselor we know, when my wife gets out we will try one of them.
