What is your memory experience? Greetings, I was a very rapid cycler for 30 years, and I had very poor recall of my past. Now, since becoming stable, I can’t seem to stop the memories from flooding in. Can anyone relate? KL |
Re: What is your memory experience? I can't relate to what you are experienceing, but I do and have ahd severe memory prolbmens since being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I was recently told that lithium can have this effect - not sure if other meds do or not. Maybe you might want to look into how your meds may have changed recently, or maybe it's just a change in your body as you age. I'm still in the phase of not being able to remember very much though...(for example, my mother spent a week with me last year, and I have no recollection of it whatsoever,... same thing with several movies I saw - no memory of the movie whatsoever...) |
Re: What is your memory experience? I also am having problems with short term memory loss, but stuff in my past is coming into my head in short memory glimpses. For instances I am driving down the road and I remember something out of nowhere that's pretty disturbing. It's been happening allot it's wierd... Lynelle |
Re: What is your memory experience? I can't remember.... (( waits for laughter to die down )) Memory impairment WAS one of the MAJOR problems I had, when medicated (especially when done so to toxic levels). Never have been able to re-establish a lot of the lost "connections". Short-term impairment seems to be permanent. Fried-bagged-and-tagged ~ memory-wise. |
