Re: when is the right time to tell him

It is my personal opinion and practice to tell men I'm dating that I'm bipolar as soon as possible. The last thing I want is to develop feelings for someone and then tell them about my disorder only to be dumped for it. I prefer to tell people on the second or third date, or let them find my lithium bottle in the bathroom and ask me about it. I am not ashamed of myself for being bipolar and I do not want to spend my time with someone who is. I prefer to weed out the a-holes asap. Consequently I'm single but, I believe that i will find someone who is accepting and caring. Someone who understands and cares for me enough to deal with it. I'd rather be single than with someone who is not accepting of who I am.

Re: when is the right time to tell him

I always waited until just before that point where I knew the guy was falling for me.
I didn't want to tell every guy I dated, but I sure did want to give the guys who cared about me the chance to back out before they were "too much in love".
