Angry Family Frustration - BIPOLAR

Myself and family members are frustrasted at how someone can be totally manic or depressed at one point.

Yet the minute the services or police are called they can hold it together and come accross as fine?

Anyone else have this problem also do you ever feel like they are tryring to mess with your head. My sister told me i had an anger problem and then screamed in my face till i snapped and punched her, i feel she provoked me as i have not had a fight in years.

Also she told my mum that she needed help and that she was depressed, and now my mum is on anti-depressents because of the stress my sister has caused. I am at the end of my teather as is the rest of my family. We know she needs taking in but how do we presuede the services, or do we have to wait till she commits a crime? or upsets a member of the public?

Re: Family Frustration - BIPOLAR

I've found it very frustrating to deal with my dh went he's extremely angry.....there's nothing I can say that's going to change his mind, but if I walk away from him it makes it worse....and if I stay and keep trying to convince him of something he thinks I'm just doing it to irritate him on purpose. *sigh* It can be very difficult to love someone with this disorder.

Yes, my wife can or could somehow turn it all off at the drop of a dime at times. She is able to fool me for weeks when she is sick. Then by the time i know about it, it's "Kattie bar the door"
She will be so far gone that she has to be put into the hosp. She has gotten a lot better at not lieing about her illness over the years.
