Depressed

Stress from life is getting to me right now. It seems like a tornado has hit and I am in the eye of the storm. It has just just sucked me right up into the middle of it and there is no way out as of right now until the wind decides to slow down. And, with a few things, that might not happen for quite some time.

Depression is really beginning to set in. Not just the kind of slow depression but major depression. It is time to visit the pdoc- yes, I am aware of that. The only thing is I have to wait until one of my sons is in daycare next week, and hopefully he won't get kicked out of daycare. Life lately with him has been a complete nightmare. I say that and as I type it I am shaking and crying all at once. That is how shook up I am.

Despair. The thoughts are always reminising in my head though I would never act upon them. It bothers me because when I become so depressed the thoughts are that much more relivant and vivid in the mind. It drives me crazy.

I apologize for such a downer of a post.

Coffeegirl

Re: Depressed

Dear Coffeegirl,
I have been where you are and truely understand, Yes you need to get in and see a doc. You need support too, keep posting, there's lot's of support here. You've been here for me many times with words of comfort. Things will get better, keep in mind somtimes it takes a storm to sort things out.

I've read that it during our down times that we are actually rejuvenating our spirit although it doesnt feel like it, so we will can prepare and be ready for another round with the real world. So it's ok to cry it helps rid the pain inside and helps us feel better. Right about now you're proably thinking the same thing I did, Ya right. Think about how you feel once you come out of a deep depression. Ready to take on the world. Sending you seeds of H.U.G.S = Happiness+Understanding+Growing+Smiles, take care, kiehn

Re: Depressed

Hi Kiehn

Thank you for your kind thoughts and warm support. What an interesting way to put it about how depression is rejuvinated and then ready again for the real world for another round. How interesting! Your terminology for HUGS should be used in the dictionary. Awesome! It made my night much brighter.

As you can tell I'm not sleeping very well. My son with asthma just woke up and he is sick. It worries me that we will be in to the doctor tomorrow for his asthma. My other son gave him a cold, and that is not good. When the son with asthma gets colds he usually ends up in the hospital. No exaggeration with that- it almost always happens. I'm very concerned.

Again, thank you. And- HUGS!

Re: Depressed

Hey coffeegirl,
How ironic, as one of our daughters also had asthma not quite as bad as your son, but it would mean coughing all night long......, using the nebulizer, cough meds, steriods, humedifier, proped up under pillows, sleeping on the floor next to her any remedy to help her and I sleep. The most frustrating part was her colds always set into her chest and would last 3-4 weeks by then another cold was cycling thru school. She's 22yr old now and still has coughing/asthma problems but nothing like when she was younger. Here's a last resort tip I used when nothing else would help. Doctors have recomended turning on the shower (hot water) and steaming up the bathroom sitting in there to help reduce the coughing, well that would just make my daughter hot and cough worse. So we used to play a tent game get a sheet drape it over the both of us as well as the steamer with vick vapo steam (nice) and breath in the soothing moist air, somtimes it took 10-15 mintues but it did help considerably.

Thanks you made me smile in return knowing it help you even a little. Hang in there
things will get better! Kiehn
