The ultimate crash - Bipolar Disorder Message Board

Wow:
Back to feelin fine had the ultimate crash and landed in hospital for just over a week .

God I must of been a sight six foot four of non talking always crying mass or mess whichever!...has anybody else suffered such a quick decline?
All i can remember was taking the dog for a walk, next thing i,m in town ranting at some poor guy for nearly hitting me with his car.

The police were called, then i,m in hospital in the fetal position crying non stop!....and i still don't know why it happened there were no warnings,

Perhaps I was due one!..Idon't know .

Has this kinda thing happened to any one out there?...It hasen't happened to me this way before and has me stumped as to why as things are great at the moment?.

Wow thats rough.It's like as soon as we think we have a pattern for this and know what the signs are, it puts on a new disguise. I've never had it hit like that but I did go from a little too happy for a few days to way way down in a matter of ~30 seconds and ended up in hospital for a month.
It's kinda hard to maintain a sense of security sometimes. And Hospitals can be awful. It always seems like at least one staff member is horrible and mean.
I hope you're feeling better.

Hi. Sorry, but this reply is a bit random. My partner has major lows on bipolar, but has never been hospitalised. How did you end up getting hopitalised?

if you go to the emergency dept and tell them whats going on with you they may hospitalize you. I was so sick one time that When they asked me personal info I couldn't remember (phone number etc) it was awful. my thoughts were everywhere. And i guess I couldn't keep a train of thought long enough to retreive basic information from my brain

I don't know how it happened or why!
One minute I was fine the next boom ...
I woke up in hospital?

As I am well known to the police and they have a dedicated mental health worker at the station (something to do with human rights thank budda) I wasen't processed but was sent stright to hospital.

Anyway it was a first for me and has me confused , I'm still having mild after shocks now, like little bouts of sadness, but apart from these I feel fine and I have been monitoring my lithium levels very carefully?.

The only thing I can think of is that the weather has been unusually hot for this time of year here in the U.K.

And i must of let my sweating get the better of me and got toxic levels in my system cos boy it was fast I did'nt even feel angrey in the slightist ...mad or what!!!
