So here I was, freakin' out inside. Crawling in my skin and stressed about stuff. My wife took the 3 week old with her to her ob appt. So I had the other 4 under 5yrs. We watched Spongebob and went downstairs to get ready for bed.
I turned on Gran Turismo, because Stephen decided to pour water on the DirecTV box.(he's 18mos) I lay on the couch, and Miranda(2yrs) says."Lay by you, Daddy".
We're layin' there, watching the game run, and Miranda begins explaining life, the universe, and everything to me.
"Me not sick, Daddy." "No, you're not sick baby"
"Me not hurt, Daddy." "No, you're not hurt, Randa"
"Me OK, Da'holi ok(what she named Stephen),Rie ok, Abby ok(Marie, Abigail, 5yrold twins)" "Yep, you're all fine, sweetie"
"Me love Daddy, Nice Daddy" "I love you, too, Randa"
"You ok, Daddy. You MY Daddy."

After an hour of this, I'm feeling better. I have no deeper reason for feeling better, besides the fact my two year old said to. Good Enough for me.

Arthur ~ Thanks for sharing....yes those moments are so precious and the words of children can be so healing. It's amazing how your dear daughter sensed your need for comfort....you are truly blessed.

Ahhhh, Arthur! What a beautiful,sweet moment! I have had many of these moments with my son, and I will NEVER forget any of them! Anyone who has a child in their lives are blessed!!! Thanks for that story! It reminds me of who I truly am, deep down inside! I'm my kid's Mom!!!

What a beautiful moment, Arthur!

It sounds like you have some adorable little angels at your house. Children are so wonderful, and know how to make one feel all so tingly inside. They have their special little powers about themselves.

I have a story to share as well.

Two weeks ago at the state fair, my son with ADHD, who normally doesn't like to do stuff with me, suddenly took a turn for the 'wanting to be a momma's boy' that day. He wanted to ride the sky glider with me that afternoon. I was so thrilled. While dad and brother rode the other seat infront of us, we were behind them and giggled as we watched the people below. My son looked up at me, smiled and said 'Mommy, you are the sweetest mommy'. It made me cry. Coming from him that is just HUGE!

When we got off hubby was wondering why I had been crying. When I told him, we both praised our son for sharing his feelings.

Anyway, children are so loving and caring unconditionally. That is what makes them extrordinary.
