I just found this site yesterday . . .wish I had found it sooner. It is my current experience that people without a mental health disease simply cannot fully understand, regardless of how hard they try (and not everyone tries! :- ) what we are going through. I do have good support, but I have felt that I have "worn them out," with my depressive cycles. . . do you know what I mean?

I was originally diagnosed with depression, but after 6-7 months I started cycling and was then re-diagnosed as BP II. Lamictal was added to my diet and things have been looking up ever since.

It sounds like things are looking better for you since you were correctly diagnosed... That's how it was for me. I actually tease my husband that meeting him was the SECOND best thing in my life - and that Lithium was the first!!
The nice thing is that he understands that statement!
