how long does an episode last

if you havent read my post below, my wife has not been diagnosed with bp, all signs indicate it. the more i read the more i am sure. in fact i think she may have rapid cycling, but because the mood swings generally only last a a short time maybe only up to 2 days, this last one in dragging on (it seems like forever for me) how long can a manic high last? i have read up to a few weeks is this right can it last longer?

Re: how long does an episode last

When my ex was manic/depressed before this episode, it was a few hours/a day at most. Now he has been manic for two months and I have heard that it can last much longer than that. I hope not....
