I'm really sorry for you after 10 years taking Paxil. Were you diagnosed BiPolar I or BiPolar II? I'm BiPolar II, which means anti-depressants work the opposite on me...I took Prozac for 4 years...was almost lost by the drug itself.
I can't tell you when or if you will ever feel better; it's nasty illness with not a lot of medications that help. I believe they've tried them all on me so I speak from some experience.
The day you feel "normal" will be a good day, hopefully that will be the day that the medications you were given begin to work.
I wish you the best in this journey, it is an extremely long one no matter what they tell you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, therapy does help, medications may help...but we are all and always will be fighting this disease.
Sorry to give you more negative than positive...but I've lived with this for my entire life...somedays are okay...most are the 7th level of Hell.
Take care of yourself, my sincere thoughts are with you!
