Hi,
Sometimes Im kind of slow to catch on, and just realized I might have given you the wrong impression to your post regarding communication. When I said I never thought I see a post like yours here. Than made a comment about laughing. It was because my husband doesnt get it when we tell him his tone or body language speaks a whole different language. He pretty much had me convinced all men were like this. So I was surprised to see your posting and I laughed because my daughters and I were right, he just doesnt get it. It's nice to see there are men like you out there. Thanks for sharing!

Hey there! I really appreciate your feedback, especially the encouragement. I really try to stay in tune with my girlfriend's emotions. Its just always been the way that I am. Its funny tho, I'm sometimes TOO sensitive, thinking that there are problems that don't exist. But just in response to your last post, I wasnt at all offended by you laughing at my issue. It really IS a very minor trouble to have. I'm really glad about adding a bit of lightheartedness to anyone's life, I just hope it doesnt make people think that I don't understand this disease. I don't want people thinking that because my issue is so small, that I don't understand that people struggle with it day in and day out. I truly admire all of you out there that fight it every day and if there is anything I can do to make my girl's life easier while she fights it, I will.

On a side note, any other suggestions on ways for me to help her through tough times? I love the ideas given to me in previous posts and was just interested in any other tips!

Oh, what relief. Actually what just happen is quite a common problem for me and Ive heard for others as well that are bipolar. I will interpret something different then what it was meant and get upset. Then 2 days later it hits me, oh my gosh, I see a whole different intrepretation. I just figure it part of the bipolar cause the intrepretation are usually from one extreme to the oher.

Never apologize for being senitive, it's a nice quality in a man. Keep check and reading these boards you'll learn more here than you could ever learn in a lifetime. Best Wishes
