exhausting being happy

It sounds stupid maybe complaining about being happy, but it's just so exhausting. Maybe it's just not real happiness. I'm rushing around spending loads of money, and going out getting drunk, and even when i'm sober i feel drunk, in a daze confused. Everything is just going so fast. as christmas gets nearer i'm getting more manic and out of control i don't like it help.

Re: exhausting being happy

zoe i know its a nightmare this time of year but try to get ahold of your pdoc asap sounds like you need something to help calm you down again. I myself have been trying real hard not to get caught up in that this year but it is hard. andyes all the partying and being "happy" is tiring meaning your going to burn yourself out shortly ask for and get help before you go full blown either way good lck and best wishes Debsx

I could have written this post LOL. Only now I am beginning to crash. I am starting to cry and feel useless and hopeless.

I hope you stay on the upside. Please take care of yourself and stay rested. Seeing your pdoc may not be a bad idea either...

Merry Christmas. Love, Lori

Re: exhausting being happy

Oh, please call or page your care provider, doc, nurse, whoever ya got; you shouldn't have to suffer like this. Go to walk-in if you have to. It isn't really happiness, you know that, right? It is like being forced to stay on the roller coaster or ferris wheel with no sleep, no food, no rest. That wouldn't be fun. What you are experiencing may not be full blown mania, but sure sounds like hypomania. Has this happened to you before?

Best wishes,
Blue Monday Linda
