Lightbulb Could this be THE answer for MOST!!!

I have been looking into dealing with my illness with natural sources. Changing my diet and exercising more. I have really noticed great changes. There is also herbal supplements that can help.. [removed]

these can help, but, for most people reg meds are so much better.
Now, serveral meds are made from natural stuff. but, i personally would prefer the normal meds, mos of these are tryed and true.

Re: Could this be THE answer for MOST!!!

I don't think you can completely manage your illness on food and supplements alone - sure eating better might make you feel healthier, but what you must know is that most research points to an inate biological difference in bipolar people. Food cannot change the structure of your brain. Psych meds can alter the neurotransmitter levels to make certain neurons inhibited and others excited so that your brain operates at a more normal level. I don't really think that food/supplements can do this alone. You should definitely consider regular psych meds - eating healthy and maybe some vitamin supplements might just be a good thing to do on top of this.
