Ok, it is 4:43 am and I am still awake. Can someone be manic and so totally depressed at the same time? I am so tired and sleepy but I CANNOT go to sleep. I can't get comfortable/still for a moments time. I have a waterbed which is making things 100times worse, I hate it.

I can not get my dr to do a D*** thing for me, and the hospitals don't want you if you don't have insurance

. My new insurance won't be in effect until April 1...but I am sooo tired of feeling this way.

The pdoc my GP referred me to called and said without insurance, they wont see me. I told them I would pay cash, and they don't accept cash

So what now? The hospital don't want me. My GP won't put me on the meds I need, and the pdoc will not accept cash. I am so tired of all this......how am I supposed to get help, if no one wants to help me??

I went through a period late last year where I was deeply depressed and manic at the same time. I couldn't sleep without xanax or soma to help, and even then I didn't sleep good. A doctor put me on Seroquel and then I couldn't wake up! I only took it 2 days and quit. So after that I was on Lexapro and that helped me sleep some better after it became effective. Then I was put on Lamictal and now I sleep very well, and don't have the rapid mood swings at all. As a matter of fact I feel better than I ever have. as for finding a doctor that will take cash, I would think that there would be some, even if you have to go to another town. Whatever you do, seek help and don't give up. Tom

Hi Tom, thanks for your reply. I am still looking for a pdoc who will accept cash. I am so tired of these feelings that I am having. I hope that whatever medications they put me on will have limited and non dangerous side effects. I have read some horror stories about these medications, and they scare me to death.

Did you try calling **** for suggestions on a referral?? Or call your state mental health department....
