Hi,
My hubbie is BP and he has been in therapy for 3 months on his own. I also go to therapy for myself. It may be helpful for you to give some thought to putting together a list of things you'd like to cover with your therapist during your session. I've also learned that you take away from therapy as much as you are willing to, it seems to help once you're down the road a little and you reflect on what you have learned there. I hope you find a wonderful therapist, make sure it's someone you are comfortable with and that you feel like they are truly helping you. Sometimes it's difficult to find a really good one, but usually you'll know pretty fast...or you can find someone new.
Best of luck!
