Forgot to take my meds this morning - Bipolar Disorder Message Board

Didn't realize it until much later in the day. I felt out of sync and knew something was wrong. Then I looked at my pill box and realized I hadn't taked my morning nor mid day medication. Oops. It wasn't on purpose at all. And I certainly don't like the jittery feeling it gave me so I do not intend to do it again. No wonder I had trouble figuring out what day of the week it was. Does this happen to any of you????

yeah actually I've had that problem this week, i've been bouncing around half the time semi-manic, the other totally aggitated and ticked off, trying to get used to lamictal and make it through the side effects stage...and have forgotten my meds a couple times. I take like 29 pills a day so it's not so hard to forget a few when I'm manic and flying high. I was feeling like crap today and thought it was just from coming down off a manic phase, but I soon realized I hadn't changed my Fentanyl patch in 4 days, when I'm supposed to change it every 2...so it happens we're all human I guess.

Unfortunately, yes. I am pretty much perfect at taking pills at night, but in the morning I forget a lot, and I have to take lamictal in the morning. I do use a pill box so I can tell whether or not I forgot, and I have a sign above the bed and on the front door asking "PILLS?" to help me remember.
