for 3 years now I have belonged to a Red Hat group. we do outings 2-3 times per month. But I have been missing some meetings for the last year.....

any way I have been asked to leave because I miss too many outings. the Lady in charge has strict I wont be going back ...
I was enjoying the friendship.............. now it is over....

Re: Feeling down

Hi, Caren,

That must be a great loss. But when I read that missing meetings is a reason for dismissal from the Red Hats....wha??? It sounds like high school. If anything, the fact that the Red Hats (I think) is for older women, this just doesn't make sense.

I'd vote for joining something else, and I hope you look for and find something else.

Just a thought: would the rules still hold if the woman in charge were to become ill and have to miss a lot of meetings?

Hugs to you,

Unhappy Re: Feeling down

thats not fair. Bipolar patients cant do everything everyone else can. We unfortunatly have limits. We have our good, bad, and the ugly days. Thats too bad that you got kicked out. I know how you're feeling about the enjoyment of friendship. I'm craving that so deeply right now.

Re: Feeling down

I don't know what a Red Hat group is, but I hope that you are able to find another group activity to replace it. That's a real bummer that you were asked to leave.
