New Girl on the Block

Hi! I'm Connie. I'm 31 and was diagnosed as bipolar at 12 - back when they didn't think kids could be bipolar. I'm also borderline personality. It's fun being me. LOL.

Re: New Girl on the Block

Thanks! I've never really had other bipolar people to talk with, so I'm excited that I found these boards.

Re: New Girl on the Block

Hi,
I add my welcome to you. Do you take meds and see a therapist?

Also, for borderline, DBT can work wonders. If you can find classes in that (mental health centers often have them), it'd be worth your while, I think.

Hope to hear more from you. There is a lot of help on this board.

Seaturtle

Re: New Girl on the Block

I'm on Seroquel at night. I'm not all that thrilled with it - but I deal with it.

I've done DBT therapy. I do a version of it now with my case manager. As soon as I get my license, I'll be getting a job as a DBT peer advocate.
