Hi, Am new to the boards. Was diagnosed recently as Bipolar 2 rapid cycling( i can and have switched back and forth from one to the other up to 20 times per day.) and emotional disregulation, and borderline personality disorder!!!
At first I dismissed or should I say, rejected the diagnosis. I have always been told since I was a teen/young adult that I have Post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, depression, OCD and the list goes on and on.
I also have a teen who is ADHD, PTSD, oppositional defiance disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression...... I figure they will diagnose her soon enuff as Bipolar but she is not ready to hear it either,,,,she has a hard enuff time with the issues she is facing now.
The meds I am on kinda work(using anti seizure meds and anti depressants at present but that is all gonna change in the next couple of weeks so they tell me. My driving privileges have been removed until I am "stable" as well. Some days life is great, other days life blows!!!!! And then there are the days that I switch back and forth very fast and I have not a clue as to what i feel.
I have lost friends in the past because they did not understand me, destroyed relationships, lost jobs...etc etc.
I am confused scared and not sure what to do next?
