Unhappy Not depressed but not happy

I don't know what to do with myself I have 50 pages of reading and a 2 page paper due tomorrow. I am so unhappy in my life. This illness has taken away a normal life from me and now that I'm stable I am unhappy with it. I need to work to make it better but it is not happening fast enough for me! This paper is hanging over my head but I am too anxious to start it. Why do I always leave things till the last minute. I let my anxiety get the better of me today. How do you all deal with the toll that the illness takes on your ability to lead a balanced life? As well as the stresses of everyday life?

Hope all is well,

red

I really am not trying to be funny or a smart ***...but I deal but the way I deal with the stresses of everyday life is KLONOPIN. Without that particular drug I would be a massive mess of panic stricken severely anxious blob who never got out of bed.

Re: Not depressed but not happy

Like kat, medication a must for me to function and cope with both symptoms and life itself. It also can help to o DBT, counseling. Yes, there are ways to cope with it, not always perfectly.
Can you ask for extensions on your paper and reading? It might help, too, to ask someone to work with you on doing a little every day, instead of waiting until that awful last minute.
And making a schedule, like "today, I will work on this for two hours."
