I'm not up on all the abbreviations here on the Bipolar board. I thought some of us could build a little thread here to help others, especially those new to the board. Even though I have been on this board for a while, I don't know what all the abbreviations mean.

Well I've been doing fine latly. No psychosis, or depressed mood or hypomania going on. Been having a pretty normal mood really. The only thing thats been bothering me is that my sleeping schedule is messed up. I sleep from somewhere around 4-5am to 12-1pm latly. Its not been good because its been affecting my school. Luckily I only go to school from 12:30 to 2:30.

HI again,\\
a normal mood, that's good to hear. how come your school hours are so few? have you tried anything to get sleeping pattern back to normal. my pdoc suggests five nights of some meds and bed at same time each night and morning getting up same, then five nights without meds, then five nights with again, sorts me out usually. you could give it a try if pdoc is willing to prescribe or gp.

Well I'm in a program that specializes with people who have social anxiety disorder for school. I'm actually only going to be able to get 2 credits this year unfortunatly because of the lack of school time. Its just too hard to be at school for a whole day. I just get too anxious. By the way wats a gp?

under,
well good for you for going at all. a gp is a regular doctor. i get script from pdoc then go to him to get free one and have him question each one even though pdoc has spoken to him each time. annoying. he has no clue about mental health and just rushes me out his office every time.
