Exclamation Difference Between These Medications???

What's the difference between Depakote ER and regular Depakote?I'm weaning my body off of it and I have been taking the extended release for about 5 months, but I have the lowest dosage in regular form.I just want to make sure nothing negative will happen when I start taking the regular dosage.

Re: Difference Between These Medications???

ER means extended release, so the med is released every so often.

Re: Difference Between These Medications???

Instead of the whole dose hitting you at once, it is time released so that it theoretically will treat your symptoms for a longer duration of time.
