If you mean bipolar, that I can speak to. Are you seeing a pdoc? If not, I would suggest that you do so you can be put on the right med combo. Finding the right combination of meds can take some time, but if you're patient, you'll end up feeling so much better once you find a regimen that works.
As far as Borderline is concerned, many of the same meds used for bipolar are also used to treat the former. I have a friend who has BPII and Borderline. All of her meds (5 of them) are used for bipolar, but also treat her Borderline as well.
If you have Borderline, you may want to find a tdoc who specializes in DBT. DBT is widely used for people who have Borderline and the success rate is very good. |
I apparently have Bipolar I disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. I have them both.. not AS BAD as some people get it, but bad enough.
My therapy I will be going to involves DBT & CBT.
I'm just on the "why me" kick and cried like a 5 year old today, literally. I'm hibernating in my room, away from everyone.
I'm severely depressed, and my meds don't work right now. I want to have hope, but it's diminished. Right now I feel like an emotional train wreck.
