Just had to take valium.

My sisters boyfriend is over, and after talking to him briefly I had to take Valium to calm my nerves. I have such bad social anxiety, and anxiety it's awful. I want to see my boyfriend tomorrow (He's in jail) BUT I'm scared to drive there alone I'm not familiar with the area. I'm scared to even see him which is silly. I'm so unstable right now. All I have by means of support right now is this board, and my boyfriend. My family doesn't understand, thinks I can help myself more, etc etc. I can't. I'm losing it.

it is hard to think you are alone but this board is always so supportive it has kept me going at times. i too have social anxiety but find that xanax and klonopin help with that. i still have to call pdoc in a panic every time i have to leave my comfort zone (basically i rarely leave the house) if valium helps that is good but if not you could talk to pdoc about the severity of anxiety and see if he can come up with new meds that might work for you. families can be difficult to deal with too as my family is. they tend to look at me to see if i am 'fixed' so i tend to put on the 'happy act' rather than deal with their unhelpful suggestions. good luck with going to see your boyfriend , he sounds very supportive. you can only do what you are able to do at any given time so try to go easy on yourself.

iw.
