Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to report that my mixed episode is officially over. Thank goodness for small favors because this was my third mixed episode and I really had a difficult time emotionally.

I'm back to feeling level and I was able to enjoy my 4th night of sleep even though I didn't get to bed until late thanks to my not eating (I don't eat when I'm manic or depressed).

I can't wait to tell my pdoc the good news when I call him on Monday.

I'm looking forward to continued stability since most of my health problems have been addressed.

Now that my GP has increased my Topamax and I'm on a different allergy med, hopefully I can get a break from constant migraines, allergy headaches and allergy attacks. <crossing fingers>

I'm also happy about the fact that I have a way to address my mania and inability to sleep (when manic) the next time I have an episode.

My rapid cycling is under control, but if I should cycle into mania again for whatever reason, I can take my increased dose of Klonopin as prescribed by my pdoc.

Having said that, it feels good to be back to my definition of "normal" again!

Kudos, neondreams! I am almost crying, I am so glad for you, after all you've been through. This is terrific news - you've made my evening.
It sounds like a new life for you. Sleep and stability must seem like almost luxuries.

I owe so much to my pdoc and I'm glad we were able to work through the initial issues we had. He really is wonderful and knows exactly how to treat my symptoms. I've never had a pdoc who was as perceptive, kind and knowledgeable as he is.

I will continue to keep you updated on how I'm doing.

In the meantime, I'm going to celebrate by making my favorite dessert.

I wasn't very fond of pdocs for the longest time (due to the poor treatment I've received in the past), but now I feel differently.

Now that I've had the chance to work with a wonderful pdoc, I appreciate them all the more and know exactly what to look for the next time I need to find another doctor.

I'm glad you have a pdoc that you're comfortable with as well. That seems to make all the difference when it comes to our stability.
