| Lithium & Alcohol
I have been on Lithium for about 6 months and only on my 2nd upgrade if you like to 800mg each night along with Zimovane to knock.
I have been advised by my Pysch Doc that I should drink alcohol for the next 3-5 years.
Now baring in mind that if you had told me that I would be T Total a year ago I would have picked myself up from the bar stool and given you a nonsensical response ;o)
I used to drink alot I was known for my ability to drink, drink and then at closing get everyone round to mine to drink some more. I never thought I had a problem as such just drank too much.
Like a good patient I have taken the advice of my Psych Doc and quit (The first Christmas and NYE without booze for nearly 30 years!) and I feel great, to the point that I am not missing it at all.
I was just wondering if everyone on Lithium avoids alcohol?
And not to worry I am not looking for support in order to start again....just curious!
