how will i be tested

im very nervous of how i will be tested for bipolar and was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is the doctors do?

For me, I just talked about the way I have been feeling like forever, and how these issues have gotten worse in the last year. Doctor's know the signs and symptoms. Don't worry, just be prepared, even though i knew i had it, hearing it from a doctor was hard! Good luck!

Unfortunately, there is no test for bipolar. They just ask you questions about your history and your "episodes" and cycles and then start trying different meds until you find a combination that makes you feel the way you want to feel.

They have you fill out some personality type tests, they talk to you about your habits, feelings, life and how it's going, that kind of thing. It's not really a big deal or anything to be worried/scared of.
