 Lithium and Concerta
Hello. I was recently (a few months ago) diagnosed bipolar (had been misdiagnosed for 10 years). Lithium has been the only mood stabilizer to work (450mg extended release twice daily). I was also diagnosed ADD and recently (a month ago) started on Vyvanse. It did nothing and wasn't covered by my insurance. I was switched to Concerta 18mg yesterday and started it. From the hour after I took my first tablet, I had a bad headache, I was nauseous and very drowsy. My hands were a little shaky and I was very blank. I missed work and appointments. I haven't stopped feeling this way at all.
Has anyone had or heard of a similar reaction? Those symptoms are listed as common side effects, but will they go away? Will they get better?
