I was diagnosed with Rapid Cycling BPII in January. My family doctor had had me on Seroquel and Trazodone for maintenance until I could get in to see a psychiatrist to get an official diagnosis. I'd been on a variety of other medications prior, as well - Cipralex, Risperidone, and a handful of others.
The psychiatrist put me on Abilify, 2mg to start, and I had a horrible time on it. Lots of tension, aggression, emotional outbursts, very edgy/paranoid. I was only able to stay on it for a month.
