Birth Control Patch - Birth Control Message Board

I'm thinking about getting the birth control patch. For the people that use the patch do you like them and are they like the pill?

Are you referring to the BC patch that was introduced fairly recently?
I've vaguely heard about it, but I haven't used it.
It's kind of hard to believe this patch is supposed to stay put for x amount of time, through showers etc. Maybe someone out there using it can shed some light.

I used the patch (Ortho Evra) for two months. The only reason I stopped was because I broke out so bad while on it. Other than that, it does stay on really well (I always placed it on my lower abdomen). I wish I could still use it!

I've been using the birth control patch since December and I actually prefer it over, the pill, simply because you only change it once a week on the same day and it stays adhered to your skin until you take it off, with mine sometime it loosenes up around the sides because of showers and things like that but I've never had one fall off before, it stays in place like it says...and yes it's very much like the pill, it puts the same hormones into your blood stream that the pill does, but it does it through your skin...so I love using the patch, hope this helps
