Anyone take Diane 35? - Birth Control Message Board

Have you changed from a different pill to Diane 35 and noticed your stomach has become bloated, or any other side effects?

Hi Shakira

Yes, I'm on Diane 35. I've been on it for about a year and a half. I do find I get a little bit bloated from it...but sometimes its hard to tell. I think I've put on about 1kg aswell. I tried Yasmin for about a month in the middle, to see if it would help with bloating, but I had horrible depression and anxiety on that one. Diane is much better for my moods, and gives me better skin!

My only problem is its a higher dose pill, which means I can't skip too many periods cos I will spot lots. How do you feel on Diane? Do you like it?

I'm on my 4th month of Dianette and i've been spotting everyday since my last period 3 weeks ago. I spotted once everyday for a month at the beginning of the year when i was on my last pill (Microgynon 30), so i'm hoping it doesn't happen every month. I changed to Dianette cos i had spots on my back. They've cleared up alot, but i've gained 6 pounds and got abit of a belly (which i've never had before!). I'm hoping it's just a coincidence, cos once, i did gain 6 pounds in 3 months and i wasn't even on this pill then. If i gain any more weight, i might change back to Microgynon or try a different one.
