Irregular periods after stopping BCP - Birth Control Message Board

If anyone has had irregular periods after stopping BCP please share your experience. I stopped my pills last month in the middle of the pack on a Wed. Then, got period on Fri. after stopping. I just started again yeserday and it's only been a little over three weeks. I'm just wondering what to expect in the future. Thanks!

I am experiencing something like this right now actually. I stopped taking my pills this month and now my period is late by about a week now, and I am experiencing PMS bad. Well my boobs are more sore than usual and I feel more bloated, but other than that nothing. So I am not exactly experiencing any periods but that is just the problem and this can only mean that they are going to be irregular. They say that if you ahd irregular periods before you went on the pill, you will after the pill.

i just stopped using birth control this month as well. 5 days after I stopped, i started bleeding. at first it was really light. then on the second day it was sooooo heavy i contemplated calling my doctor. However, by the afternoon of the second day it was light and now today on the third day, its virtually non existant. i'm curious to see what happens next...when i'll get my next period. i'd recommend jotting the activity down in case you need to explain these things to your doctor. i've been writing mine down just in case...good luck...

Mine was so heavy that I did call my Dr.! I was a little freaked b/c it was always so light on BCP. She said it's normal to have irregular ones. I just don't know how irregular!
