| Re: Do I need to take the Plan B pill?
If you take 1 now or 2 tomorrow you should be OK according to most packets.
No debate or judgement - Just so you know, if the egg is fertalized, taking your BCP or taking plan B is going to work the same way. plan B is just a more concentrated birth control pill. you can actually do the same thing by taking different combinations of "normal" BCP.
Not to debate, but I agree, you should read on how the pill works to see if that fits with your beliefs. Normally it stops ovulation (so an egg isn't released to be fertilized) but if it fails and doesn't stop it (like if you are late taking them or it just doesn't work) they can still prevent pregnancy in 2 ways. 1) increasing cervical mucus so that the sperm doesn't reach the egg 2) changing the walls of the uterus so that a fertalized egg can't implant.
I took plan b during a similar situation. I went off the pill and then had sex 2 days after i should have started my next pack. I freaked when I realized how stupid I was and got in to see the Dr.
Plan B did not bring on my period, just so you know. So it definately didn't flush anything out. {removed}
