Which one? - Birth Control Message Board

Ok i just had a baby a little over 2 months ago. Now I have been thinking about which birth control to go on. I really don't want to do the pill thing. I am horrible about remembering. My daughter was planned. I was on the pill for years and never ended up pregnant,how i don't know. I have a horrilbe time remembering. I tryed the depo shot a few years ago. I loved not having to take something everyday. I only had to go in every three months to get the shot. Well i was on it for 9 months and believe it or not for a whole year i had my period. Needless to say i wasn't fun to be around. My husband was stressed about it just as much as i was. My husband liked the ring option and i liked the patch option. I don't think i like the ring thing.You know taking it and out. My husband wanted me to at least try and see what i think. He said if i don't like it i could try something else. Until i find something that is going to work for me. Anyways, i started the ring like 6 days ago. I don't mean to give to much information, but one of the side effect was increased discharge. Well i am having that and hate it. I like the fact that i don't have to worry about it for 3 weeks, but i am not sure i am liking everything that goes along with it. Anyway i was wondering if any one had tryed the ring? If anyone had any suggestions on forms on birth control.

You obviously want to try the patch, so try it.

Remind your husband that since he's putting you in charge of the birth control, you should be permitted to try what type you want. There's no reason to keep using something that you're not comfortable with, when there are other alternatives available, just because he wants you to use it.

I have read alot on this board about the patch and it kinda scares me. Is it really as bad as it sounds. This really makes me double think the patch issue. Oh i don't know what to do.

Hi I used the ring yes I loved it well until I got preggo 3 months ago. lol I had no side effects from it and what I liked about it was you could keep it in the entire 4weeks and change then. Chances are you wont have a period that way. I didnt anyways. My doctor recomended it to me that way. Like I said I did get pg. on it but This is my second bc baby so we think im just immune to bc now for some reason.
