Question about period - Birth Control Message Board

I was suppose to start my pills 3 weeks ago but I haven't been able to buy them yet(rent, bilss, blah blah blah) anyways I'm suppose to get my period next week. Last week this discharge came out (it was kinda clear and stretchy) and unfortunately I had sex twice this month (the first 2 weeks of not being on pill) this is my third week, and then next week I get my period. My question is (well questions) : is there a chance now I could be pregnant(discharge?) , and after next week can I just start my new pack like normal or do i need to see the doctor first or what? Please help

There is a chance of pregnancy since you missed all those pills. Your cycle is a bit screwed up now so I am not sure when you will get your period. The discharge could be pregnancy or it could from a withdrawal from the hormone. I would take a pregnancy test, if it comes back negative than I think it be okay to start your pills when you are scheduled to.

I think stretchy discharge usually means you are ovulating

thanks for your help. I'll have to call my doc to be sure then (about starting the pills) and maybe i should get a preg. test done just to be sure I'm not. and about the discharge, that's what i thought maybe, it's just I've never experienced it before. I've never had discharge come out, but it could be from not being on the pills i guess huh?! which is why I was unsure
