Question about going off BC - Birth Control Message Board

About a month ago I stopped taking my birth control because i'm out and ive been putting off going back to the doctor to get more because i'm sure they would make me get a pap smear and I really hate those things. I haven't got my period yet but Ive had all the symptoms ...like cramps, moodiness, breat tenderness.....but I still haven't had my period and ive had those symptoms for over a week now. I had sex once with my bf using a condom since then and i'm kinda worried. I'm breaking out really bad also. All i really want to know if its normal for your period to be off a little after stopping BC.

Yes it is normal, your body has to get back into a normal cycle again.

If you used a condom and you didn't see it break than you should be just fine. It is completely normal for your period to be late (or early) after going off of the pill. Your body isn't getting the same amount of hormones anymore so it's trying to adjust and your cycle probably got messed up. It sounds like it should be coming soon though.

Thanx. I really hope so. I hope it comes soon tho...I have so much already that I am stressed about. I really don't need this 2. I'm thinking I will go this week and get some birth control so i can start again! I don't like this acne stuff
